BabyCentre has been a certified member of The Information Standard since May 2015.

What is The Information Standard?

Each organisation is rigorously assessed to ensure that the information they provide is of the highest quality. Approved content will be balanced and referenced with accurate, relevant research.

What does BabyCentre's certification mean for me?

It means you can trust that the information we provide is accurate, evidence based and up-to-date. This is because every article displaying The Information Standard logo is:

  • referenced with relevant research from reliable sources
  • checked by an expert such as a midwife, GP or obstetrician
  • reviewed by people who use our website
  • proofread to ensure accurate spelling and grammar
  • updated at least once within three years of the date it was last reviewed


BabyCenter, L.L.C. shall hold responsibility for the accuracy of the information they publish and neither the Scheme Operator nor the Scheme Owner shall have any responsibility whatsoever for costs, losses or direct or indirect damages or costs arising from inaccuracy of information or omissions in information published on the website on behalf of BabyCenter.
